Blackberry Bold 9650 (Sprint) or HTC EVO 4G (Sprint)?

BlackBerry Points: I like the sturdiness and boldness of it. I love the QWERTY keyboard but don’t like the non-touch small screen. Internet, texting and email systems on the Blackberry systems are supposed to be really good. Great battery life. Blackberries have a great reputation except for being behind in the cell phone industry.

Bonus Selling Point for Blackberry: There’s an app for deaf adults – live captioning for phone calls. Love that.

HTC EVO Points: Big screen. Android. The internet is supposed to be amazing on that machine. 8.0 camera and a front facing camera for Skyping? That’s awesome. It’s all touch – and I’m not sure if I’m ready for a touch keyboard. May be tough to get used to. And I heard that the battery power isn’t so good. I may be considered a power user.

Bonus Selling Point for HTC EVO: How it’s basically the runner-up to the iPhone.

BP Oil Spill: It’s about time.

After whatever how many days of oil leaking from BP’s oil plant in the Gulf, an experiment to cap the well was successful. And the satirical Twitter account, @BPGlobalPR, tweeted “Well, that wasn’t so hard.” The perfect way to say it all.

the gosselins: what’s going on?

First of all, Jon Gosselin cannot spell, as seen from above.

TLC Responds to Jon Gosselin: “We are aware of Jon Gosselin’s recent statements, and remain deeply disappointed at his continued erratic behavior. He and the family were shooting as recently as last Friday, without incident, and his latest comments are grossly inaccurate, without merit and are clearly opportunistic. Despite Jon Gosselin’s repeated self destructive and unprofessional actions, he remains under an exclusive contract with TLC. Direct filming of the children has been currently suspended, pending further conversations between both parents.”

From what I’ve seen on Jon Gosselin’s Larry King Live (CNN) interview and heard of Kate Gosselin’s Today Show (NBC) interview, it seems to me that the family has derailed from the “perfect family train”. Let’s start with 30 points for both Kate and Jon.

• Last week, Jon Gosselin was fired from the “Jon & Kate Plus 8″ TLC show. -2
• And then, he goes onto the Larry King Show declaring that he quit. -3
• He also states that he wants the kids off of television. -5
• His attorney/lawyer is horrible. -10

• This morning, Kate Gosselin goes on the Today Show after Jon does something. -3

Look at this. It’s amazing. It’s a sharp and crisp blazer formatted into a fall and winter jacket. There’s a hood attached to it, and I don’t really like that, but other than that, the two-button front and side pockets just adds a formal hint to the whole jacket itself.

I’m getting a peacoat or a nice jacket for this winter from PacSun. I just don’t know which one yet (and I’m not telling you!), the link to their jackets is right here. They have a good variety of options and their prices are reasonable.

fall tv season: modern family.

Modern Family
ABC, Wednesdays 9/8c

A comedy following three related families in these modern times of the 21st century. There’s a family dealing with culture and age differences. There’s another family of three kids, a mother running around every second (and literally scheduling a punishment for her kid) and a dad who says, “I’m a dad, that’s my thang.” Then, the last of the three families, is a gay couple who just adopted an overseas child.

Not only is this a hilarious show, it’s a piece of work. It is truly a Modern Family. The plot and casting are just flawless. It’s a replica of our lives in these crazy times.

America’s Got Talent
Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9/8c

This summer hit is now ending with its last week of the compeitition over a year long performing stint on the Las Vegas strip. The judges add its own flair to it, while the new judge, Nick Cannon, knows how to rock the show. Watch the finale and you’ll want the next season to start the next day with those annoying, buzzing red X’s.
